on the 16th of August Malcolm McKinnon arrives to listen to, and record the stories of nowa nowa

but not just any stories -

these will be tales of local ingenuity, making do, gleaning, inventiveness, wasting not, recycling.

stories about the clever things people do in the country

people who re-make clever gear out of junk, or make art from the tip, or who glean from riches of the land, or who very carefully patch and re-patch, rather than toss it out.

we think this resourcefulness is a lifestyle to be celebrated and really want to gather all these stories in all their forms

our DVD will be on show during the Long Now Weekend (as part of the Open for Inspection project - 24 & 25 november)
