Nowa Nowa pays homage to the humble pinny

A group of Nowa Nowa ladies who love craft and textiles of all kinds are holding a “Pinny Party” to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease.

The 'Nowa Nowa Nannas' are inviting entries for their exhibition of handcrafted aprons which will be held at the Nowa Nowa Hall from Friday night 12th September until 5pm Sunday 14th September.

There is no charge to exhibit work and the Nannas encourage embroiderers, textile artists and crafters of all kind to enter as many items as they like. There's no commission payable either, but a small donation from any work sold would be appreciated, and will go to MND research.

Entries need to be delivered to Nowa Nowa by 10 September, so get those needles flying!

Categories of work include : Party apron, maids apron, novelty apron, pre-loved apron, embroidered apron, appliqued apron, art apron, patchwork apron, calico apron, hessian apron, country gingham apron, knitted & crocheted apron, BBQ apron, children’s apron, plus potholders.

There's also a trading table planned, so donations of goods or crafts to help raise money for a very worthy cause would be appreciated.
